Do good, be good.
We passionately invest in and support causes that leverage the power of our growing communities. Not only does giving back feel like the right thing to do, but it also unites us under a great purpose to make a positive impact in our own backyard and beyond. Check out all of the ways we’re doing good and the organizations we’re proud to champion.
Back in 2011, we founded a 501(c)(3) called Situation Project. Our vision with Situation Project is to provide arts-deprived public-school students access and exposure to world-class New York City arts and culture experiences. We deliver at least two experiences for each student every year. We also provide hands-on activities that integrate technology with the arts, deepen student encounters, and inspire tomorrow’s leaders.
We now work with three public schools in New York City and, to date, have created over 18,000 experiences that have enriched students’ lives. We hope this model can serve as inspiration for communities across the country to act and support the students in their own backyard.
We’re ardently working towards providing these students the opportunity to expand their worldview and learn directly from professionals themselves, and we’re engaging our community to do it.
Organizations We Support
The Jack & Jill Foundation partners with oncologists to prescribe incredible experiences as a timeout from cancer to families with young children and a parent who has received a late-stage cancer diagnosis. We, at Situation, leverage our community to help connect the foundation with amazing experiences in the New York City area. Learn how you can help here.
Established in 2007, the Ian Bennett Memorial fund awards scholarships to college-bound high school students exemplifying the artistic risk embodied by Situation’s former Creative Director, Ian Bennett, who lost his life at 26. Applications are due yearly in April and can be found here. See why our agency also encourages folks to do something they love with someone they love in honor of Ian.
We provide undergraduate students of UAlbany with an award for their participation in research, scholarship and creative activities. UAlbany is the alma mater of Damian Bazadona, the Founder & President of Situation. Damian is passionate about giving back to an institution that made a significant impact on his life and helped get him to where he is today. Find out more here.
