Reddit adds A/B testing to attract performance marketers

Reddit has launched a new Split Testing tool in its Ads Manager for advertisers around the world. The tool lets marketers compare two versions of an ad campaign by showing each version to different groups of users. Tests must run for 2 to 6 weeks and require a minimum daily budget of $1,000.

The tool helps advertisers see which campaign performs better using data collected directly on Reddit. During the open beta, 4 out of 5 tests found a clear winning campaign based on return on ad spend (ROAS). If neither campaign performs better, the results show that both options work about the same, helping marketers make informed decisions. Marketers should plan their tests carefully, set clear goals before starting, and avoid making changes during the test to get reliable results.
