The Power of Performance Max
Situation has been working with Geffen Playhouse since the fall of 2021, with the express goal of helping introduce them to new digital tactics that will increase their ticket sales with a limited budget.
Using Geffen’s strong first-party data of past ticket buyers, we were able to target lookalikes through Google’s Performance Max platform which allows ads to run across Google’s family of sites, including YouTube, search, Gmail, Discover, and more. Its creative optimization engine also allows for simultaneous learnings about what copy and imagery is resonating most with audiences, so we begin Performance Max campaigns as early as possible to allow for these learnings to contribute to their in-house marketing efforts as well.
Throughout the campaign for Power of Sail in February 2022, Performance Max was the top traffic driver to GeffenPlayhouse.org, significantly increasing our remarketing pool for future campaigns. During Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf in May 2022, Performance Max consistently saw returns above 10X and was the top revenue driver among paid media efforts.
