A Huge Moment for Situation Project—and What Comes Next

Every once in a while, something happens that reminds you just how powerful it is when students feel seen, valued, and inspired. For all of us at Situation Project, that moment is now.

I’m incredibly proud to share that Situation Project has been awarded a special grant from The New York Times Communities Fund—a major recognition of how New York students thrive when given a seat at the table.

This is a major milestone. Not for us, but for the thousands of students who have found joy, confidence, and a sense of belonging through our programs. It’s their brilliance, their stories, and their futures that this moment honors.

And we’re just getting started.

All month long, we’ll be spotlighting the programs that brought us here, from Broadway field trips to career panels, college workshops to “first time ever” moments, and the students who continue to inspire everything we do.

I invite you to follow along. Share the stories. Celebrate with us. And if you can, consider supporting this work so we can keep the momentum going.

If that speaks to you, we’d love for you to be part of what’s next. This recognition from The New York Times Communities Fund is a big step, but the momentum is just beginning. Here are a few ways to get involved:
