A Snapshot of Shifting Online Consumer Behavior

Nonprofits are facing unprecedented challenges today. We’re unable to rely on our traditional means of fundraising or community-building. Our resources and teams may be even more limited than normal. For our next event curated specifically for our nonprofit clients, we’ve shifted our gaze to a channel where we see significant opportunity: search marketing.

Unlike other industries, nonprofits have seen an increase in search volume in the last five months. This event will focus on what consumers are telling us with their behavior and how nonprofit marketers should be responding to this “new normal.” Join us as we explore the strategic questions everyone should be asking now to maximize the opportunity in this moment.

Connecting About Connected TV

What is Connected TV? Why are there so many names for it? Do those names mean different things? What are the benefits of advertising on CTV? Why is it so confusing?

Mara Winkler, Director of Paid Media at Situation and Lisa Cecchini, VP of Media & Analytics at Situation will discuss the current state of CTV, the ways in which we anticipate it will continue to grow, and how to measure success in paid advertising campaigns.

A Live Events Update from Situation & Google

As we continue to have conversations with our clients about the current landscape of live events, it only becomes clearer just how uncharted these waters are. While our gut will likely play a major role in our return strategy, we know gut must be balanced with timely, accurate insights of how consumer behavior is changing during this time.

We will be joined by Mike Lorenc, Head of Industry – Ticketing & Live Events at Google on Thursday, July 30th at 12pm EDT as we discuss findings from a recent Google study measuring the virus’ impact on consumer behavior. We will open up to your questions after the presentation. Please register below to join this conversation and get an inside look at what consumers are thinking.

The Broadway Community Project

Please join us as we support the launch of the Broadway Community Project – a new initiative being created by the community in support of the community.

The Broadway Community Project is an online visual representation of the Broadway ecosystem. It aims to show the wide ranging roles, organizations and small businesses that power the $14.7 billion impact on our local economy. And, as importantly, aims to shed light on the remarkable set of people, disciplines and experiences that are often far from the spotlight.

The economic impact on our friends and loved ones in the industry has already been devastating. With timelines for the return of Broadway now looking to 2021 and government stimulus support in peril for many in our industry, The Broadway Community Project is aiming to do everything we can to help drive awareness and shine a light on all of those who make the magic happen and without them the cultural heart of NYC would not beat.

We invite you to join the conversion. You don’t need to bring your checkbooks – you simply need to bring your passion and curiosity to help us help the community.

The Power of the Fan

We spend a lot of time managing fan communities on social channels—creating content for them and responding to their questions and comments. But how much time do we spend actually getting to know these fans? Just how deep does the brand connection go? How many times have they attended our live event (or have they attended at all)? How do they serve as ambassadors for the brand?

Last month, we surveyed fans on social channels across more than 10 shows between Broadway and the West End. Join us on Wednesday, July 14 at 11am EDT for a conversation about who these fans are and what they want from us right now.

Reimagining Connection: The Virtual Events Landscape

We’re living through a time when organizations that gather people together are all facing similar challenges: pivoting their live events to virtual ones while maintaining the feelings of excitement and community that are so unique to live, shared experiences. There is a lot of fear that comes with producing a virtual event for the first time, as this is a completely new skill set for most teams and there is a perceived loss of high-touch connection to overcome.
Luckily, we have discovered through our own experience that there is tremendous potential in the pivot from live to virtual, so we invite you to join us on Thursday, July 9th at 12pm EDT to talk about it. We’ll hear directly from leaders from Columbia University, Covenant House International, and Broadway’s Jagged Little Pill about this topic who will share the wins and the learnings from their recent virtual events. Register to join the conversation about how you can create an innovative, elevated, and remembered experience.
Speakers include:
  • Louise Rosen, Senior Associate Dean for Administration, School of Professional Studies, Columbia University
  • Pam Sandonato, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Growth, Covenant House International
  • Vivek Tiwary, CEO / Founder, Tiwary Entertainment Group

Change is A’Coming: A Snapshot of Shifting Online Consumer Behavior

Consumer behavior evolves slowly. But in the past few months, we have witnessed clear changes at a speed we’ve never seen before. And, given the state of the world, we expect to see continued changes in the months to come that may very well shape a “new normal.” As such, owned, earned, and paid media needs to adjust to these new signals consumers are providing.

Join us on Thursday, May 28 at 12pm EDT for a conversation, through the lens of the influential search marketing space, about what consumers are telling us with their behavior and how marketers should be reacting to the “new normal”—whether your doors are open now or will be open much later. Learn about the strategic questions we should be asking now in order to ensure a successful relaunch.

Acting Fast: The Changing Timetable for Nonprofits

We’re in the midst of a crisis, and everyone is looking for information and guidance. Time itself seems to be running on a new track. Both opportunity and risk are accelerated and something that once took a year can now happen in a day.

Luckily, we know that we have tremendous potential to overcome difficult situations when we come together as a community. So we invite you to join us for a virtual event on Thursday, May 14 at 12:30pm EDT that we are curating specifically for nonprofit leaders. We will focus on three strategies we’re seeing organizations implement successfully across the nonprofit landscape to continue delivering on their mission as we all adapt to our new reality. During the event, we’ll hear directly from leaders across marketing and development at Situation, Meals on Wheels America, No Kid Hungry, and Orbis International.
