Assignment

We were tasked with embracing the community feel of HAIR while getting users involved with spreading the word about the show in a way that the hippies would – with love and experience.

Solution

Our solution - at the end of the show, the hippies invite the entire audience to come up on the stage and dance to “Let the Sun Shine In.” We wanted to give people a memory that they could not only view again and again but share with their friends.

A camera in the mezzanine turned on at the end of the show to capture each night’s exciting finale. Audience members were able to watch the video online, as well as zoom in, tag themselves, and share the video.

Results

The results showed that we did, indeed, “spread the love”! We used our official HAIR social media portals to share the video each day with all of the show’s over 11,000 Facebook fans and 9,000 Twitter followers. 206,000 unique visitors interacted with the website, and the show’s overall website traffic went up by over 60%.
