We set out to bring the communal spirit of music and humor into the interactive world to connect Blue Man Group’s vast global audiences.
Solution
With the help of the Blue Man Group creative team, we made the BootyShaker SongMaker, a website that mixes the latest in voice recognition and mobile technology to allow fans to create their own Blue Man Group-style music – with the fan as lead singer.
And it’s a communal experience, too. A single recording can grow into a fully choral band, since friends can add their voice to friends’ songs. And everything is shareable via social media to build a wider audience.
Results
We were able to capture and track each individual song and report the numbers to Blue Man Group. We were also able to look at time spent on the BootyShaker website, shares over social media and plays on each song. Over 61 countries have added their voices to make thousands of Bootyshaking songs.
