We are committed to a greater purpose through everything we do – to deepen the world’s connection with the live experience. Situation Cares is the umbrella in which we focus our passion towards projects that fuel our inner drive.
From special fundraising events to internal company events, we are active in a range of causes that are important to our team members.
Supporting Artistic Risk
Ian Bennett Memorial Fund. On April 15, 2007, the agency lost one of our first employee's and a great friend Ian Bennett at the age of 26. Ian was a rockstar, revolutionary in everything he did. He was a musician, an artist and an overall incredible creative genius. He made music with passion. Created websites and experiences online that have set the benchmark of excellence for those that will follow. But, most importantly, he was simply an amazing person that you always wanted to have around. He is sorely missed.
In memory of Ian, a scholarship fund called the Ian Bennett/Situation Cares Memorial Fund has been established. Through this fund, each year a high school student who shares Ian's ability to take artistic risk is awarded a scholarship to help support their passion through higher education. Supporting Tomorrow’s Audiences
The MS 343 Experience. One of Situation’s proudest moments to date has been sending an entire middle school from the South Bronx to see what was for many of them, their first Broadway show. The school, MS 343, is located in the poorest congressional district in the country yet has received A’s on its Department of Education report card every year for the past five years. It’s one of only thirty-two schools in all of NYC to claim this achievement. We were very proud to recognize MS 343 for their hard work and we look forward to expanding our efforts in recognizing other deserving schools and kids in the future. Supporting a Greener Planet
Broadway Green Alliance. Situation Interactive proudly supports Broadway Green Alliance in their efforts to make Broadway green. The BGA unites all areas of the Broadway community in New York and all over the country. It’s a cause we believe in and we know that digital is an important and effective way to promote their message. Click here to visit their site and to do your part to make Broadway green.
Supporting Those in Need
Annual Food Drive. In October 2011, in conjunction with City Harvest, we held our first office food drive. In less than a month, we raised 100 pounds of canned goods. We also used our annual Thanksgiving potluck lunch as an opportunity to encourage participation by asking potluck attendees to bring a can a food. We plan on making the food drive an annual event and we’re already excited to beat our 100 pound record! Click here to learn more about City Harvest.
